This Newton's Cradle dramatizes Newton's Third Law, which states that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Use this to illustrate that momentum and kinetic energy are conserved. As you lift and drop one ball, only one ball shoots out from the opposite side; start with two balls, and two shoot out, etc. The cause of this is due to the conservation of converting potential energy into kinetic energy. The balls can stay in a perpetual swinging motion for over a minute but will lose energy due to air resistance and friction. Apply all the logic and laws of physics you want to this little gadget - it's still amazing! Works excellently as an educational demonstration, a stress reliever, a gift, or a desk decoration. Built to last for years with minimal care. Includes an instruction sheet outlining the principals involved plus tips on use and storage.
